It’s time to serve up another batch of Bead Soup! I have been fortunate enough to have participated in 4 of the 6 Bead Soup Blog Hops. Every time I have enjoyed the challenge to stretch my creative limits. The Blog Hop has also afforded me the ability to interact with amazing designers for the first time. This time I was pared with Tabatha Dinger of Modernly Created. She is a real sweetheart and I am glad that Lori gave me a chance to get to know her.
When my package arrived, it was so beautifully wrapped! I almost hated to open it…but my desire to see what loveliness was on the inside had me quickly tugging at the ribbon as soon as this picture was taken.
Look at all the gorgeous ingredients Tabatha sent me! The ribbon from the package was so elegant, I knew I wanted to somehow use it in the final product. Here is what I came up with.
Here is the finished piece! What I love about it is all the different textures in it. The soft ribbon, the hard metal pieces, the smooth natural stones, and glittery crystals are all contrasting, but yet come together to create a spectacular piece. The piece is entitled “Growth” for several reasons. First, the center piece reminded me of the leaves of a flower starting to come out of the ground. Second, every time I participate in a Bead Soup Blog Hop, I feel myself growing in creativity. Third, the past few months have been a massive time of growth for me. Emotionally, spiritually, and artistically, there have been many, many changes. Each change, smooth or rough, has caused me to grow and discover wonderful new aspects of life.
I hope you have enjoyed my Bead Soup creation! Make sure you visit all of the blogs listed below!
