As you know, Beadphoria is always willing to help a good cause. To us, The Step Out to Fight Diabetes to is a great one! On October 3, 2010 Suzann Sladcik Wilson and Celene Morales, along with there families, will walk about 3.1 miles in Buffalo Grove, IL to help find a cure for Diabetes.
The Step Out to Fight Diabetes is one close and personal to us. December of 2008 was life changing for the family of Celene Morales. It was at that time her son, Daniel, then 8, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Suzann’s family has also been touched by diabetes with a father who deals with the complications from type 2 diabetes and a father-in-law who’s health was compromised from type 2 diabetes before he passed away.
To help raise money for our walk, we are offering this beautiful bracelet through our Beadphoria Boutique. The bracelet (pictured at the top) is made of Siam Red 6mm Swarovski Crystals, lead free silver beads, and finished with a simple elegant toggle. It is 7.5 inches, but can be made to your size specification. $20 of the purchase price of $39.95 will go towards our walk and your name will be listed as a donor on my Step Out page.
If you would like to donate directly to our walk, you can click here to be brought to my Step Out to fight diabetes page. Or, if you are in the area, feel free to join our team! The walk will be in over 150 cities, so if you feel like getting your shoes on and talking a walk with some friends, you can support this awesome cause where ever you are!
