Here at Beadphoria, the cold dreary days are catching up to us. We look forward to the time when spring is in the air and we are able to see the daffodil and crocus flowers starting to bloom.
It is about this time of year that I start leaning towards brighter colors, wanting to shake off the winter grey. This bracelet is a perfect example of that! The lampwork bumpy beads remind me of the buds on the trees. Also, let’s face it, bumpy beads in a bracelet just feel and look fun on your wrist!
The focal is complemented by the bumpy beads, but also uses the 2010 color of the year, turquoise. Here is an example of how turquoise can be brought into a design, without overpowering it. The Swarovski crystal 6mm rounds in vintage rose help to draw out the rose in the focal bead and give a great pop of color between the bumpy beads. The 3mm filigree beads give a little extra sparkle along with almost a vintage touch to the bracelet.
Would love to here from you in the comments below what colors you like to work with to try to bring some spring into winter!
