Walking into the Bead Marketplace

Walking into the Bead Marketplace

Beadphoria is often asked – What do I need to bring to the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee, WI May 31-June7, 2009?

Comfortable shoes – The Hyatt and Hilton hotels are connected to the Midwest Conference center, but it still is a distance to get to the beading and jewelry making classrooms and the Bead Marketplace.  The Bead Marketplace itself is so large you could easily wear out 2 pairs of shoes!

Sweater or sweatshirt – Some of the beading and jewelry making classrooms can be chilly!

Notebook & Pen – Great for taking notes during class, but also you have something handy to be able to sketch a bracelet or necklace when inspiration strikes.

Tools – Many of the beading and jewelry making instructors e-mail students supply lists, but as a rule Lindstrom jewelry making pliers are preferred.

Empty bag with wheels – When shopping the Bead Marketplace, you will need something to carry all of your sparkly new beading purchases in. Bags without wheels containing glass and gemstones tend to get heavy. Keeping your hands free to look at more beads is always an added bonus!

In our next post, we will be discussing how to navigate the Bead Marketplace.
